First snow of the 08-09 season - Sept 1st

It might be a little early to call it the first snow, but who cares. We're already in winter mode and the snow on the mountains in enough to get the winter buzz going! It's September 1st. Roughly 11 weeks to the opening day!! We didn't expect to see snow this early, it's technically still summer..! What's going on? Everyone gets pretty excited when the clouds break and the mountains reveal their first snow covered look. We went straight to Rainbow park in the morning to snap this image.
