Core Camp Coaches

It’s all about snowboarding together, having fun and improving your riding.
We have an amazing group of top level Canadian Pro Snowboarder Coaches who have dedicated their lives to snowboarding in Whistler. All are chosen for their extensive experience, effective teaching styles and amazing talent. They are funny, passionate, personable and genuinely caring. The coaches will help you progress, reach you goals and build confidence at a comfortable level and pace, focusing on safety. They will bring you to the best spots on the mountains. Our snowboarder to coach ratio averages 4:1 ensuring you lots of personal coaching and you will ride in groups of a similar level.

Turner Montgomery [Head coach]

Turner has been riding in Whistler for 13 years, coaching for 7 years and he also helped to create Core Snowboard Camps. His coaching passion really shows and because he knows a lot of sweet spots on the mountains, he’ll make you want to move here. - ‘It’s all about riding together, having fun and improving our riding’.

Ryan Rausch

Ryan is a solid pro rider and an amazing coach. He's been consistently winning slope style, rail and half-pipe contests in Whistler and Japan. Ryan won the PSA ASIAN Snowboard Pro Tour in half-pipe last season He's also a popular d-j in Whistler, speaks fluent Japanese and lives to ride.

Andrew Jackson

Andrew is an amazingly smooth pro rider. His big mountain riding and strong park skills have earned him consistent podium finishes and sick video parts. Andrew snowboards and lives life with a perma-grin. High energy, humor and natural coaching talent are what Andrew brings to the table at Core. A day riding with Andrew is like a week anywhere else.

Vanessa Stark

Vanessa is one of the strongest female pro snowboarders in Canada.
She’s a ruler in the pipe & park, charges technical lines like no one else and knows the best spots in Whistler. She is also an amazing artist.
Always smiling, Vanessa will make every day you ride with her your best day ever.

Star of Peace Quinn

Star is the Whistler queen of park & pipe riding. She’s a strong freestyle Pro rider and is constantly winning big snowboard and skateboard comps. Star loves to show people how to ride better and she’ll open your eyes to the world of snowboarding in Whistler.
